Funeral Service for 69 year old, Ms. Alice Loyd of Paris, Texas who went to be with her Lord Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in Paris Texas will be Friday, June 10, 2016 @ 12:00 Noon in Citizens Funeral Home Chapel, 500 East Church St., Clarksville, Texas with Rev. Glenn Scott officiating. Interment in Prothro Cemetery, Longview, TX.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 6-7 pm in Citizens Funeral Home Chapel.

Ms. Alice Marie Loyd entered heaven’s gate at her home Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in Paris Texas. She was born September 30, 1946 in Longview, Texas. The daughter of Lovera Halton and Pinky Smith and James Elbert Burks. She was the widow of James Loyd. They shared seventeen years. She grew up in a loving family with two brothers in San Diego, CA. Marie moved to Clarksville to take of her mother. She was a consistent member of the Church of Christ of Cheatham Heights, Clarksville, Texas. Alice was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. She enjoyed watching her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys and also loved to fish. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
