Alice Hogan

Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Mae Hogan, of Dublin, will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the Christian Hope Baptist Church, 1792 Georgia Hwy 26 East in Cochran. Reverend Joseph Varnon, Sr., will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Alice Mae Hogan was born in Bleckley County, Georgia, on May 17, 1935, to the late Linner White who was a laborer, and to the late Maggie White who lived in Chester, Georgia, at that time. She departed this life on November 15, 2019.

Mrs. Hogan’s early education was in the schools of Bleckley County. At age nineteen, she married Homer Hogan. She and her husband moved to Detroit, Michigan, where she was a care provider for children of the working parents in their neighborhood.

Mrs. Hogan leaves behind to cherish her memory two devoted sons, Daryl and Aireck Hogan of Atlanta, Georgia, one brother, Robert Harris of Miami, Florida, along with his loving family, two grandchildren, Daevon Stringfield of Detroit, Michigan, and Aireck Hogan of Macon, Georgia, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends.
