Funeral services for Mr. Tommie Arthur King, of Dublin, will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 4 PM in the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Reverend Robert Haywood will officiate.

Mr. King, who passed on December 9, 2015, was born on March 13, 1935, in Ocala, Florida, to the late Elouise Ward and the late Tommie Arthur King, Sr.

Mr. King served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1954. In New York City, he met Idella Thomas and they united in holy matrimony on November 30, 1973. He retired from Shakespeare Public Theater in New York City on April 17, 1998.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Idella King of Dublin; two children, Andrea Sullivan of New York, New York, and O'Shawn King of Jacksonville, Florida; one grandson, Quincy Sullivan of New York, New York, seven sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Dudley Funeral Home on Friday, 2-4 PM, prior to the funeral.
