Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Wright, Sr., 66, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 1:30 PM in the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Reverend Henry Davis will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Wright, who passed on May 5, 2014, was born on January 7, 1948, in Dublin to the late Wille Jay and Bertha Wright. He was employed by the Garrett Fencing Company for several years until his health declined.

Mr. Wright was preceded in death by a brother, Celester Wright, and by a son, Wilbur Wright. Mr. Wright is survived by his sons, Lonza Hightower (Betty Wheeler) of Louisville, Thomas Wright, Jr., and Ramone Wright of Dublin, and Celester Wright of Macon; his daughters, Sherry Wright of Belhaven, North Carolina, Dara Wright and Chara Wright of Dublin; his sisters, Willie Bell Coley of Rochester, New York, Dessie (Carey) Washington of East Dublin, and Christine (Willie) Manning of Dublin; his brothers, Charlie (Ardie) Wright of East Dublin, Jalester (Annie) Wright of Dublin, and Richard (Annie) Plummer of Macon; a devoted friend and caregiver, Helen Maddox of Dublin; twenty-five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Benjamin Murray, Larry Hightower, James Hightower, Robert Hightower, Ben Moye, and Wyman Brantley.

The family will receive friends at the home of Dessie and Carey Washington, 201 Jackson Street, East Dublin, and at the home of Helen Maddox, 303 Saxon Street, Dublin.
