Funeral services for Mr. Thomas "Tim" Moore of East Dublin will be held on Thursday, December 27, at 1:00 PM at Valdosta Missionary Baptist Church, 1975 Highway 199 South in East Dublin. Interment will follow in Valdosta Church Cemetery. Reverend James Robert Travick, Jr. will officiate. Mr. Thomas Moore, who passed on December 20, was born September 16, 1943, in Dublin, Laurens County. He was reared by his grandparents, the late Mr. Master and Mrs. Mary Moore. Mr. Moore joined the Valdosta Baptist Church at a young age. He gradudated from B.D. Perry High School in East Dublin. Shortly after high school he joined the United States Marine Corps. He served during the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Moore was given an honorable discharge after being wounded in the line of duty. Mr. Moore received the Purple Heart Medal of Distinction for his tenure of service in the war. Mr. Moore was a faithful, trusted employee of Roche Farm and Garden for many years. He was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Christopher Moore, Sr. Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annette Moore; one daughter, Ms. Veronica Moore, Dublin; one son, SSgt. Robert A. Moore, U.S. Marine Corps, Jacksonville, North Carolina; stepdaughter, Omesia Williams, Dublin; mother, Mrs. Essie Dudley, Dublin; sisters, Mrs. Debra (Leon) Blash and Lisa Stevenson both of Dublin; one brother, Mr. Leo Dudley, Jr., Dublin; grandchildren, Christopher Moore, Jr., Nya Moore, Nadia Moore, Mikalya Ellington, and Djimon Williams; nieces, Ms. Shantaya Dudley, Dublin, and Ms. Ashley Blash, Savannah; aunts, Mrs. Elois Travick and Mrs. Irene Moore; uncles, Mr. Braxton Moore, Dublin, and Mr. Herbert O'Neal, St. Petersburg, Florida; brother-in-law, Oscar Jones, Carlton (Nildra) Jones; sister-in-law, Nellie Cherry; several devoted cousins; a devoted friend, Mr. Greg Roche, and other relatives and sorrowing friends.
