Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Jenkins, 90, of Montrose, will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014, at 11 AM at the Friendship Baptist Church, Highway 112, Allentown. Reverend Alton Walker, Sr. will officiate. Burial will follow in the FriendshipBaptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Jenkins, who passed away on Monday, December 15, was born on January 3, 1924, in Toomsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lee Jenkins; granddaughter, Rosemerry Nottingham; her parents, Manual Denson and Nellie Freeman.

Mrs. Jenkins leaves to cherish her memories her children, Catherine Jenkins and Elaine Walden of Montrose, Corine Nottingham of Dublin, Cynthia Brathwaite of Jacksonville, Florida and Walter (Betty) Brown of Macon; grandchildren, Lashun Nottingham, Kevin Nottingham, Tyler Walden, Crystal Walden and Wanda (Sheddrick) Ammons; godchildren, Emily (George) Sleighmon, Audrey Young, Ronnie ( Tammy) Stuckey, Anthony Stuckey, Boyd (Debbie) Stuckey; devoted cousins, Tommy Lee and Leara Denson; a host of relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Serenity Place Hospice, 504 Parker Dairy Road Dublin, Georgia, 31021.

Mrs. Jenkins will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. The family will receive friends at the homes of her daughters, Catherine Jenkins, 1759 Old Macon Road, Montrose, and Corine Nottingham, 627 South Calhoun Street (Vinson Village) Dublin.
