Funeral Services for Mr. Otha James Kennedy will be held on Sunday December 16, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 605 South Decatur Street in Dublin. Reverend B.C. Wiggins will officiate. Interment will follow in the Joiner Ratliff Family Cemetery in Irwinton. Mr. Kennedy who passed on December 10, 2012 was born February 14, 1936 in Laurens County to the late Dollie Kellam and Ellis Kennedy, Jr. He worked many years at Lovett and Brinson Hardware then turned his attention to gardening. He grew up in the Baptist faith but he later joined the Seventh Day Adventist church where he served as a deacon until his health began to fail. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Russell and Terry James Kennedy; siblings, Alva Lee "Sister" Walker, Ellis "Man" Kennedy, III, Arthur "Pasha" Kennedy, William "Little Boy" Kennedy and Quentin "Jab" Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy is survived by his wife, Rosa Kennedy; sons, Otha Kennedy, Jr., Jerome (Maudie) Russell both of Dublin and Jeffrey Russell of Macon; daughter, Angela (Robert) Outlaw; sister-in-law, Jean Kennedy of Dublin; devoted cousins, Billy Kellam of Dublin, Jimmy Tompkins and Juanita Rayson of Pompano Beach, Florida and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
