Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred J. Turner, of Dudley, will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 2 PM at the New Canaan Baptist Church, 317 Carolina Avenue, Chester. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Turner was born to the union of the late Dave Jordan and Bessie Jordan on September 17, 1927, in Dodge County, Georgia. She was member of the Thankful Baptist Church where she was active until her health failed. She worked at the shirt factory in Cochran for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Turner, her three children, Winnie Lois Stanley, Cordie Willie Turner and Charles E. Turner, three sisters, Dorothy Allen,Annie King and Bessie Gray and two grand daughters, Nekeba Turner and Vickie Coney

Mrs. Turner is survived by her children, Willie James (Ellen) Turner, Dublin, Dennis Turner, Atlanta, Willie Lee Turner, Germany, and Cantrell Coney, San Angelo, Texas; three daughters-in-law, Ellen Turner, Dublin, Carol Turner, Tea Neck, New Jersey, Jessie Turner, Montrose; sister, Vernell Gaffeny, New York, New York; brother, Bobby Jordan, (Susie) of Savannah, eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of Willie James (Ellen) Turner, 516 Pointe West Place, Dublin.
