Funeral services for Prophetess Marylin Garner Augustus of Dublin will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Holly Springs Baptist Church at 705 Buckeye Road in East Dublin. Apostle Willie J. Inman will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery in Dublin. Prophetess Augustus who passed on November 30, 2012, was born August 28, 1942, to the late Nelson Blanton and Geneva Green. She attended Detroit Public Schools in Michigan and received Christ at the age of 21 under the leadership of Superintendent Christopher Kirkwood at Mercy Faith Temple Church of God in Christ. After relocating to Georgia, she became a member of the Mount Sinai Covenant Church with God under the leadership of Apostle Willie J. Inman. She loved God and loved working for him. Prophetess Augustus was preceded in death by three brothers, John Blanton, Manathis Blanton, Franklin Green; two sisters, Ernestine Coleman, Belivia Stevenson; and a son, Nathaniel Green. She is survived by her siblings, Prophetess Edith Whitaker, Rose Stubbs, Wilburn Green all of Detroit, Michigan; Willie (Dorothy) Green of Virginia; children, Sonya Hill and Patricia (Otha) Tobridge of Dublin, William Garner of Macon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
