Funeral Services for Mrs. Mae Will Jackson Dudley, 84, of Dublin, will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2015, at 2:30 PM at the Williams Chapel Baptist Church, 1142 Georgia Highway 29, East Dublin. Reverend Ellis Carswell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Williams Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Dudley, a former resident of Detroit, Michigan, for 48 years, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. She was born on November 8, 1930, in Dublin to the late Dent Jackson, Sr,. and Donnie Wells Jackson.

Mrs. Dudley was educated in Laurens County Schools. She was an excellent seamstress, songstress, prayer warrior and a loyal friend. She was employed as a cashier at Detroit Hospital in Food Service until she retired. In Michigan, she met and married to Clifford D. Dudley of Dublin. She and Mr. Dudley retired and enjoyed traveling and fractions of their labors with which God had so generously blessed them. After returning to Dublin in declining health, she became a resident of The Heritage House, and later transferred to Dublinaire Nursing Home. “Mae” as she was affectionately called, re-united with her childhood church, Williams Chapel Baptist Church in East Dublin.

Mrs. Dudley was the eighth of twelve children. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Alberta Edmond, Elizabeth Jackson, Annie Lane, Frances Jackson, and Alzonia Jackson; and her brothers, Levi Jackson, William Jackson, Thomas Jackson and Edward Jackson.

Mrs. Dudley leaves precious memories to two brothers, Collis Jackson of Detroit, Michigan and Dent (Mildred) Jackson, Jr. of East Dublin; sisters-in-law, Clara Phillips, Rosadella Rogers, Johnnie Bell Jackson, Rosie Jackson; a devoted niece, Shirley Ann Lane; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends at home of her brother, Dent (Mildred) Jackson, Jr., 330 Branham Street, East Dublin. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, the family has requested that you make donations to Williams Chapel Baptist Church Building Fund or to your favorite charity.
