Louise Mincey

Funeral services for Mrs. Louise James Mincey, of East Dublin, will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at 1 PM at the Zion Hope Baptist Church, 4507 Watermelon Road in Tennille, Georgia. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Mincey, who passed on January 3, 2014, was born on May 15, 1931, in Johnson County, to the late Frank James and Carrie Bell Temple James. Mrs. Mincey was a lifelong member of Zion Hope Baptist Church in Tennille. She was married to the late John C. Mincey and to this union, ten children were born. One son, John C. Mincey, Jr., preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and one sister, Bennie Frank James, Willie Arthur James, A.W. James, Varlonus James, Herschell James, and Mae Bertha James.

Mrs. Mincey is survived by seven daughters, Gloria Green, Eula Mincey, Idearest Mincey, Ira Jean Mincey, Karen (Michael) Canady, Bertha (David) Anderson, and Connie (Kelcey) Lattimore all of East Dublin; two sons, Ulyssess Mincey of East Dublin, and Kenneth Mincey of Dublin; two sisters, Beatrice James and Lena Bell Mathis of East Dublin; mother-in-law, Lula Lewis of East Dublin; eight sisters-in-law, Dorothy James, Emma Lois James, and Annie Ruth Plummer of East Dublin, Lena Rhyne and Bobbie Moss of Dublin, Rita Mae McClendon of Opa-locka, Florida, Dorothy Ricks of Piedmont, South Carolina, and Pat James of Gary, Indiana; four brothers-in-law, Arthur Wright, Oscar Jones, Ulysses Rhyne, and Roger Moss of Dublin; daughter-in-law, Jovanda Mincey of East Dublin; two god-daughters, Judy Green of East Dublin and Lakeisha Thomas of Rentz. and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 586 Ben Hall Lake Road in East Dublin.
