Funeral services for Mrs. Linniette Demmons Smith, 79, of Opa-locka, Florida, will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the Rice Hill Baptist Church, 2703 Moore Station Road, Dublin. Reverend Anthony Corbett will officiate. Burial will follow at the Brown Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Dublin.

A Time To Be Born: Linniette Smith, affectionately known to family and friends as Linnie was born February 9, 1934 to the late Charlie and Beulah Smith in Dublin, Georgia.

A Time To Plant: She was educated in the Laurens County School System. She joined the Rice Hill Baptist church at an early age and later relocated to Opa-locka, Florida where she became a member of the Greater Fellowship Baptist Church and the Mother of the church.

A Time To Build: She was employed by Ashley Manor Nursing Home for 21 years.

A Time To Love: She was united in holy matrimony to the late Redolph Demmons this union was blessed with two children. Later she was united to the late Roosevelt Smith until his death. This union was blessed with one child.

A Time To Die: God called Linniette Smith to rest on Saturday August 3, 2013.

A Time To Join Love Ones: grandmother, Zora Hagins, seven loving sisters, three brothers, and one grandson, Donaldray Hill who all preceded her in death.

A Time Of Peace: She leaves to celebrate her glorious homecoming: three children, Alberta (Jessie) Wallace of Albany, Redolph (Hallie) Demmons of Indianapolis, Indiana and Dorothy Barnes of Opa-locka, Florida; two step children, Vivian (Clarence) Chappell and Roosevelt Smith all of Dublin; five sisters, Martha Nell Darrisaw of Miami, Florida, Izora (C.D. ) Pauldo and Mamie Adams all of Dublin, Lois Winford, and JoAnne Coleman both of Cleveland Ohio; one brother, James (Pricillia) Smith of Opa-locka ,Florida; four grandchildren, Kenji, Rachel, and Eric Demmons all of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Darrell Hill of Opa-locka, Florida; ten great grands; one great aunt, Mary Anderson of Dublin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Mamie Adams, 224 Parker Dairy Road, Dublin. Mrs. Smith will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
