Funeral services for Mr. Larry A. Lowther, of Dublin, will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at 1:00 PM. at the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 494 Evergreen Road in Dublin. Reverend Winfred McCloud will officiate. Interment will follow in the Stanley (Big Ditch) Cemetery.

Mr. Lowther, who passed on July 15, 2015, was born on January 3, 1958 to the late Thomas and Ruby Lowther. He was a native of Laurens County and matriculated through the Laurens County School System. He joined the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, and served faithfully as an usher until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ruby Lowther, and by one grandson, Aubrey Wyatt.

He was a certified truck driver and actively pursued his love of carpentry, by painting for businesses and individuals in the community. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and farming.

Survivors include one daughter, Shavanda (Ronald) Wyatt of Fredricksburg, Virginia; one granddaughter, Rainna Wyatt of Fredricksburg,Virginia; one brother, Thomas L. (Erma Jean) Lowther, Jr. of Phoenix City, Alabama; three sisters, Julia Simmons, Claudia (Ernest) Holmes and Barbara (Eltred) Swayne, all of Dublin; three aunts, Doretha Mason, Lillie Lowther, and Rosie Mae Jones, all of Dublin; four uncles, James (Ann) Lowther of Buffalo, New York, Levi (Juanita) Rozier and Hershel (Corine) Rozier, both of Dublin, Roger Rozier of New Jersey, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home home of his sister, Julia Simmons, 700 Ridgewood Avenue in Dublin.
