Rock Hill -- Joyce Ann Nance Brooks, 68, of 811 Steven Carroll Rd. passed away Friday, August 08, 2014, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be at 3:00 P.M. on Monday August 11, 2014 at Liberty Baptist Church in York with Rev. Howard Burrell officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM at the church prior to the service.
Joyce was a daughter of the late Fred Watson Nance, Sr. and Juanita Christy Nance. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Chris Brooks of York, SC, 3 sons, Tim Ellis of Rock Hill, SC, Mike Ellis of York, SC, Lawrence Brooks of York, SC, daughter, Michelle Brakefield of Rock Hill, SC, 3 sisters, Kay Moss, Marie Williams, and Sara Bowers, 2 brothers, Fred Nance, Jr., and Johnny Nance, all of Charlotte, NC. 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Scott Ellis.
