Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Deltas Lamb, Jr., 52, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 3:00 PM at the Everlasting Gospel Non-Denominational Church, 1300 South Jefferson Street, Dublin. Overseer W. M. Holmes will officiate. Burial will take place on Monday, March 17, 2014, at 2:30 PM in the Georgia Veterans Cemetery, 2617 Vinson Highway in Milledgeville.

Mr. Lamb was born July 17, 1961, and departed this life after an extended illness on March 10, 2014. He was the oldest of five children born to Mr. Johnny D. Lamb, Sr. and the late Ms. Pauline Lamb Joseph in Dublin.

Mr. Lamb attended Dublin High School and later joined the United States Army. At an early age he joined the Shady Grove Baptist Church in Dudley.

Mr. Lamb leaves to cherish his memory step-mother, Lydia Lamb; one daughter, Anna J. Moore; one son, Kevin Slaughter; three grandchildren, Kamari, Kamariuna and Yaqueline, all of Dublin; four sisters, Yvonne Holland of Tacoma, WA, Synthia (David) Blocker and Glenda (James) Outlaw, all of Dublin, and Ms. Novita Poole of Orlando, FL; one brother, Geoffery Lamb of Tacoma, WA; three aunts, Elizabeth King and Yvonne (Gehova) Lamb-Castillo, both of Dublin, Nellie (Lonnie) Bryant of Ellenwood, and Larcia Ballard of Atlanta; one great aunt, Ms. Florine Perry of Atlanta; devoted friends, Mary Hodges, Kathy Wood and Darrien Taylor and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Lamb will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. The family will receive friends at 301 Simmons Street, Dublin.
