Funeral services for Mrs. Johnnie Bell Bonner Jackson, of East Dublin, will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015, at 2:30 PM at the Williams Chapel Baptist Church, 1142 Georgia Highway 29 South in East Dublin. Interment will follow in the Brown Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend James Sherman will officiate.

Mrs. Bonner who passed on September 6, 2015, was born on February 7, 1942, to the late Mr. Clark Bonner, Jr., and the late Mrs. Geneva Bonner as the eldest of four children. Early in life, she joined Brown Grove Baptist Church where she served faithfully. Deeply rooted in the faith of the Lord, she joined her husband, the late Thomas Jackson, at Williams Chapel Baptist Church where she served conscientiously as a church announcer for many years.

Mrs. Jackson attended and graduated from B.D. Perry High School in Laurens County. She worked at the Laurens Memorial Hospital, where she met her husband. She was also an employee at Laurens Park Mill for twenty-seven years. She later became a state employee for Community Mental Health.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jackson and by her brother, Larry Gene Bonner.

Mrs. Jackson leaves to cherish her memories; two devoted children, Michael (Deborah) Jackson and Lisa Rena (T. J.) Snell of Dublin; five grandchildren, Joshua Jackson, Jessica Jackson, Trenton Snell, Jacob Jackson, and Candace Jackson, of Dublin; two brothers, Clark (Annie) Bonner and Eugene Bonner of Dublin; two brothers-in-law, Colis Jackson of Detroit, Michigan and Dent (Mildred) Jackson of East Dublin; two sisters-in-law, Rosa Pearl Jackson of East Dublin and Rodella Hood of Atlanta. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends along with two endearing friends, Gladine White and Mamie Myrick Burney of Dublin.

The family will receive friends at the home her son, Michael (Deborah) Jackson, 814 North Jefferson Street in Dublin.
