Funeral services for Mr. John Franklin "Buster" Whipple, of Dublin, will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 2 PM in the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Bishop Otha Stanley will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Whipple, who passed on January 7, 2016, was born on June 10, 1957, to Janie Whipple and Johnny Davis.

Mr. Whipple was raised by Pearlie Mae and Leonard Bailey. He attended Millville High School and West Laurens High School and worked a variety of jobs over the years. He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Nelson Street.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Whipple; his daughter, Shorronda Ashley; his two grandchildren; sisters, Sally Stanley, Milledgeville, Sandra Gainor, Fayetteville, North Carolina, Cherrie Gainor, Dublin; his brothers, Johnnie (Kyehui) Ford, Dublin, Willie (Debra) Ford, Merrillville, Indiana, Jimmy (Jean) Ford, Augusta, Tom Stanley, Dublin and James Davis, Dublin; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, 7-8 PM, at the Dudley Funeral Home.
