James Whipple

Funeral services for Mr. James Willie Whipple Sr., will be held on Monday, February 2, 2015 at 12 PM at the Everlasting Gospel Non-Denominational Church, 1300 South Jefferson Street, Dublin. Reverend Antonio Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

On January 25, 2015, God called a true soldier to eternal rest. Willie James Whipple Sr., known as "Jimmy" to friends and family but was known to his grandchildren as "Papa". Jimmy was born on March 31, 1953 to the late James Adam Whipple and Alease Denson Whipple. He attended the Wilkinson County and Laurens County School Systems. He worked in several areas of employment, including Wilkinson County Road Department, and Tina's Originals where he retired from both jobs. Jimmy was a loving and kind grandfather. He was preceded in death loving wife, Dianne C. Whipple, David Charles Whipple, Rosa Marie Whipple, and Betty Lou Houston.

Jimmy leaves to mourn, two sons, Willie James Whipple Jr., of Toomsboro, and Wesley Rashaun Bell of Atlanta, six daughters, Lakeshia C. Odaine of Jeffersonville, Aneka S. Whipple, (Moise Fenulus) of Fort Lauderdale, FL., Ashley T. Vicks, (Johnatorius Vicks) of Gordon, Cralisha Monek Bell, Shandricka Mitchell of Atlanta, and Whitley Bell of Augusta, three sisters, Annie B. Stanley (Douglas), Eleanoris Payne of Dublin, Maxcine D. Dunning (Jessie) of Fort Wayne, IN, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family will be receiving friends at 820 Hamlin-Floyd Road, Jeffersonville.
