James Earl Hudson, 83, of York passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016.
A memorial service will be held at Bratton Funeral Home on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 11 AM with Rev. Ed Melvin officiating.
Born in York County, James was the son of the late William Smith and Hattie Mae Steele Hudson and was the widower of Margaret Hudson.
James is survived by his son, Earl Hudson (Lynn) of York, SC, sister, Bessie Hudson Lowman of York, SC, brother, Charles Hudson of York, SC, grandson, Will Hudson of York, SC, stepchildren, Ray Gust, Patty Rice, Mary McFarland, Betty Brown, Mabel Odum, Renee Biddick, sixteen step-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the charity of one's choice.
