James Brown

Funeral services for Mr. James Lee Brown, affectionately known as "Rev", of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 11 AM at the Driskell Tabernacle Baptist Church, 223 Martin Luther King Drive in Dublin. Reverend Brian Ashley will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Brown, who passed on August 17, 2015, was born on July 2, 1943, in Wilkinson County, Georgia. He graduated from Calhoun Consolidated High School. He relocated his wife, Eula Brown, and family to Miami, Florida, where he worked thirty-five years for Associated Groceries before he retired and relocated to Dublin. Mr. Brown joined Fellowship Baptist Church at an early age and later joined Driskell Tabernacle Baptist Church where he faithfully served until his health declined.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Brown, his mother, Bertha Mae Brown, his two sisters, Mary Helen Brown Carr,and Betty Jean Brown, two brothers, Bobby Brown, and Richard Brown, and by his two aunts, Thelma Jenkins, and Clemmie Hall.

He leaves to mourn his passing four sons, Willie James Hall of East Dublin, Reginald (Nikki) Brown of Dublin, Anthony (Connie) Brown and Christopher (Shawanda) Brown of Tampa, Florida; one sister, Clara (Jimmie) McDonald of Miami, Florida; three brothers, Charles (Lisa) Brown, Ricky (Aretha) Brown of Dublin, Tommie (Bernice) Nesbitt of Danville; sister-in-law, Lois Brown of Montrose along with twenty-two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving family and friends.
