Funeral Announcement - McELROY, Inez

Funeral services for Mrs. Inez McElroy of Dublin will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 1:00 PM at the Samuel Grove Baptist Church, 11651 Georgia Highway 68 in Tennille. Interment will follow in the Samuel Grove Church Cemetery. Reverend Frank McElroy will officiate.

Mrs. McElroy, who passed on March 12, was born on April 29, 1927, in Tennille to the late George Bivins and Mary Williams Bivins-Pierce. She was one of three children who were born and raised around Tennille. She worked numerous jobs in her lifetime and was a loving mother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Miller and second husband, Alex McElroy; one sister, Idilia Bivins-Pierce Millers and a brother, Roy Bivins Pierce.

Mrs. McElroy is survived by two sons, Roy Willie Miller, Wrightsville, Reverend Frank McElroy, Atlanta; three daughters, Jessie Rene McElroy (Jimmy) Carswell, Wrightsville, Laverne McElroy (1SGT Levi) Daniels of Lawton, Oklahoma, Debra Ann McElroy of Lawton, Oklahoma, thirteen grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, numerous great-great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends at 90 East Trilby Street in Wrightsville.
