Funeral services for Mr. Hardie Lee Payne of East Dublin will be held on Saturday, October 12 at 11:00 am at Buckeye Baptist Church, 2176 New Buckeye Road in East Dublin. Interment will follow in the Buckeye Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend David G. Flowers, Sr. will officiate.

Mr. Payne, who passed on October 9, 2013, was born August 24, 1943, in Laurens County. He was born to the late Willie and Anna Payne.
Mr. Payne worked at Forstman for 38 years before retiring in 2005. He also worked at Fairview Park Hospital for a few years.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Payne, Johnny Payne; two sisters, Eva Mae Walker and Francis Holmes.

Mr. Payne is survived by his wife; Teresa Payne of East Dublin; devoted son and daughter-in-law, Alphonza (Cynthia) Payne of East Dublin; three brothers, Willie Otis Payne of Chicago, Illinois, JC (Cilla Mae) Payne of Fort Pierce, Florida, Robert (Juanita) Payne of Miami, Florida; a niece raised as a sister, Retha Mae Brown of Ft. Myers, Florida; two grandchildren, Garrison Payne of East Dublin, Courtney Payne of Kennesaw; great grandson, Jeremiah Payne; sisters-in-law, Juanita Jones of Madison, Mary Montford and Levera Plummer both of Dublin and Eloise Payne of Alabama a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the family residence, 1262 New Buckeye Road in East Dublin and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Friday from 7-8 pm.
