Funeral services for Ms. Geraldine “Dean” O’Neal, of East Dublin, will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at 12 PM at the Williams Chapel Baptist Church at 1142 Georgia Hwy South in East Dublin. Reverend James Sherman will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Ms. O'Neal was born on September 23, 1954, in Dublin as the third child born to Katie McClendon O’Neal and Jeremiah O’Neal, Sr. At a young age, she became a member of the Williams Chapel Baptist Church where she was honored for her years of faithful membership.

She received her high school diploma from East Laurens High School and she also studied at The Fort Valley State University. God bestowed her with the talent to sew and she used it to bless many. For several years, she enjoyed being a seamstress and spent countless days and nights tailoring custom pieces for her family, friends and for the community. During the holidays, she also enjoyed baking for family and friends. Ms. O'Neal was given her heavenly crown on January 15, 2016. Her parents preceded her in death.

Her earthly presence will be missed by her loving siblings, Eliza O’Neal Davis of Dublin who was also her devoted and faithful caregiver, Darlene O’Neal Brown, Montezuma, and Jeremiah (Evangeline) O’Neal, Jr., Stafford, Virginia; aunts, Melonese Ward, Jacksonville, Florida, and Tressie O’Neal, Dublin; nieces and nephews, Michael (Sonya) Simmons, Sr., Dublin, Chandra (Marcel) Mincey, Athens, Nicholas (Shannon) Brown, Warner Robins, Brittany O’Neal, Centreville, Virginia, Joshua O’Neal, Stafford, Virginia, and Jarius O’Neal, Stafford, Virginia; and special great nephew and niece, SigCourtney Howard and Michael Simmons, Jr., both of Dublin.

The family will receive friends at 1325 Highway 199 South in East Dublin.
