CLOVER -- Furman Wray Lackey, 86, of 1140 Hines Road went to his heavenly eternal home on Friday, November 01, 2013, at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, NC.
There will be a visitation Monday November 4, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Bratton Funeral Home in York and other times at the home of his sisters, 1140 Hines Road Clover.
A native of Clover, Furman was a son of the late Marvin and Mary Ellen Watts Lackey. Furman was retired from the textile business and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by 2 sons, Furman Edward Lackey (Diane), Oren Gene Lackey (Lee), daughter, Mary Benton (Randy), sister, Dorothy Hullett. 2 grandchildren Michael Lackey (Angie), Barry Benton, and 2 great grandchildren, Lauren Lackey and Brayden Benton. and a numnber of nieces and nephews.and his dog, Angel. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Ann Williams, brothers Leroy, Robert, Junior, Woddrow Lackey, and sister Lorene Greene.
