Funeral services for Mr. Freddie Lee Cross, of Smyrna, Georgia, will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 2 PM at the Fleming Chapel Baptist Church, 3253 US Highway 441 in Rentz. Reverend Lillie Dykes will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Pearson Cemetery.

Mr. Cross, who passed on August 22, 2015, was born on October 5, 1950, to the late Rosa L. and Thomas Cross. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Alvin, Marvin, and Charles Cross.

Mr. Cross was a loving and dedicated father to his daughter, Chauncee Cross of Virginia. He retired after more than thirty years with the federal government where he served as a Supervisory Equal Employment Officer. Mr. Cross worked numerous overseas stations including Germany and Korea.

Mr. Cross leaves to cherish his memories a loving daughter, Chauncee Cross; step-daughter, Danielle Reed; ex-wife, Linda Reed Cross; three sisters, Shirley Jean (Harold) Lee, Luetha and Ernestine Cross; six step-brothers, Ivory, David, Gary, Terry, Tony and Allen Cross; three step sisters, Gwen, Deyana and Satara Cross; one uncle, James "Brother" Hall; two aunts, Bretha (Albert) Jones and Ruth "Sister" Smith; devoted friend and colleague, Rudy Cadney, and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of his sisters, Luetha and Ernestine Cross at 1307 South Jefferson Street, Dublin.
