Frank Coney

Funeral services for Mr. Frank Coney, of Dublin, will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 494 Evergreen Road in Dublin. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Winfred McCloud will officiate.

Mr. Coney, who passed on March 21, 2016, was born on June 1, 1940, to the late Robert Smith and the late Goldie Coney. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Mae Coney; daughter, Sandra Coney; brother, Ira Coney and a sister, Juanita Coney Holmes.

He is survived by five children, Frankie (Gwen) Coney, Dudley, Sharon Parks, Willie Gene Coney, Dennis (Moryaneki) Coney all of Dublin and Teresa Coney, Wrightsville; sisters, Elnora Coney, West Palm, Beach, Florida, Mary Lee (Nate) Washington, Pahokee, Florida, Willie Mae Smith, Miami, Florida; brothers, Charlie Coney, Atlanta, Johnny B. Smith, Babyboy Smith and Junior Smith all of Ft. Myers, Florida; mother-in-law, Pauline Reid, Jonesboro; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Lesly) Childs, Temple, Texas, Kathy (James) Keesee, LaToya and LaToya (Levi) Johnson, Atlanta, Willie Mae (Rev. Joe C.) Taylor and Geneva Smith all of Dublin; brothers-in-law, Albert Reid, Jr., Jonesboro, Johnny (Sandy) Reid, Jonesboro, Kenny (Marie) Reid, Sierra Vista, Arizona, Earnest (Becky) Reid, Copperas Cove, Texas, Jimmy (Keisha) Reid and Michael Reid all of Dublin; twenty one grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren including a devoted granddaughter, Keisha (Charles) McRae, Dublin and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Sharon Parks, 104 Childs Court in Dublin and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Friday, March 25, 6-7 pm.
