Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Lynn Norris of East Dublin will be held on Friday, March 14, at 2:00 PM at the Anointed Vessels Restoration Center, 218 Joiner Street in Dublin. Interment will follow in the Hubbard Chapel Church Cemetery at 22 Old Watermelon Road in Tennille. Prophetess Gretta Smith will officiate.

Mrs. Norris, who passed on March 9, 2014, was born on June 9, 1932, to the late Albert Martin, Sr., and the late Avon Hines Martin. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Willie Charles Martin, Liza Jane Martin, Willie Wesley Martin, and Avis Elnora Coleman.

She was a faithful member of the Hubbard Chapel Baptist Church where she served in many capacities including church secretary, secretary of the mission society, Sunday school secretary, a member of the choir and she also served on the usher board.

Mrs. Norris is survived by three children, James (Peggy) Norris, Retta Norris and Prophetess Gretta Smith; one sister, Oletha Martin Cordy; one brother, Albert (Javalyn) Martin; three sisters-in-law, Annie Jean Martin, Lorraine Reynolds, Beatrice Plummer; one brother-in-law, Charlie Coleman, Jr.; thirteen grandchildren, Delisha (Devin) Taylor, Ashunda Norris, Jhwanda Norris, Eric (Emily) Norris, Erica Norris, Watkinzi Norris, Sheretta Ellington, Takeila (Cory) King, Shequitta Ellington, Greg Smith, II, James Norris, Jr. Shantia (Jeffery) George, DaAngelo Walker, twelve great grandchildren, one godchild, Loretta Duty and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, devoted cousins and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 1943 New Buckeye Road in East Dublin.
