Funeral Service for Mrs. Evelyn Horne, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 1 PM at the Saint Paul AME Church at 308 Rowe Street in Dublin. Rev. Burnest Glover will officiate. Interment will be December 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery 2617 Vinson Highway in Milledgeville.

Mrs. Evelyn McClinton Horne, who departed this life on Monday, December 9, 2013, was born on November 1,1946, in Laurens County to the late Willie McClinton and Tommie Brown McClinton. Mrs. Evelyn Horne worked at the J. P. Stevens Manufacturing and at the Forstmann Company for over 20 years. She graduated from B.D. Perry High School in 1964. She was united in marriage with Deacon Willie Horne for 31 years. At an early age she joined Brown Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Horne was a member of Nu-Hope Baptist Church.

Mrs. Horne was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Tommie McClinton, one sister Geraldine Taylor and one brother Willis McClinton.

Mrs. Horne leaves to cherish her memory a loving devoted husband, Deacon Willie Horne; two devoted daughters: Mrs. Sonja (Rev. Burnest Glover) of Jeffersonville and Javetta (Kerry) McRae of Dublin; daughter: Teresa (Dewey) Ayers of Douglasville and a son, Gary (Marquita) Horne of Macon; eight grandchildren including three devoted grandchildren, Tykerius, Kemauri and Javiah McRae; one sister, Yvonne Hudson of Dublin and one brother, Ricky (Lisa) Hudson; three sisters-n-law, Lizzie Mae Pitts and Mary Pitts of Irwinton and Maggie (MacArthur) Reeves of Milledgeville; two brothers-n-law: Andrew (Gloria) Horne and John (Judith) Horne of Irwinton; devoted friend, Waletha (Eugene) Rozier and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 212 Pinehurst Drive in Dublin.
