Funeral services for Mr. David Lee Franklin, 78, of Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 11 AM at the Greater New Friendship Baptist Church, 3265 Highway 19 South in Dublin. Bishop Tim Chatman will officiate. A private burial ceremony will take place at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.
Mr. Franklin, who was born on February 14, 1937, in Vidalia, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a retired master barber in Miami, Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Nesbitt Franklin of Dublin; five children; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the Laura Barton Nesbitt Scholarship Fund at Post Office Box 4353, Dublin, Georgia, 31040.
The family will receive friends at the Dudley Funeral Home on Friday, May 1, 6-7 PM.
