Funeral services for Mr. Darrell Dewayne "Sweet Blue" Williams, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the Williams Chapel Baptist Church, 1142 Highway 29 in East Dublin. Interment will follow in the Williams Chapel Church Cemetery.

Mr. Williams, who passed on March 19, 2014, was born January 8, 1970. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rosetta Williams and by his grandfather, Rev. J. B. Williams, Sr.

He was a member of the Williams Chapel Baptist Church. He attended East Laurens High School. He was employed at Flexsteel Industries prior to his battle with leukemia. In addition to being active in Lil' Darrell and Tory's athletic activities, Mr. Williams was also very active in coaching recreation football, basketball and baseball. His favorite pastime on the weekends was hanging out at his brother Buc's house and at Willie Dixon's house watching his favorite team, the Denver Broncos, and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Cynthia Williams; children, Shawanna (Shannon, Sr.) Adkins, Darrell D. Williams, Jr., Tory Williams; grandchildren, Shannon Adkins, Jr., Shaniyar Adkins; mother, Rosa Lee Williams; father, Emerson Willis; brothers, Tony Wells, Anthony Williams, Tyrus Williams, Norman "Buc" Fuller, Chalk Willis, Darryl Willis, Tracy Willis, Steve Willis; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at 434 Pine Cone Trail in Dublin.
