Chancey Whitley

Funeral services for Mr. Chancey W. Whitley, Jr., of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 11 AM at the Pine Hill Christian Church, 2908 Fountain Road, Cadwell. Pastor Belinda Mitchell will be preside and Bishop B. J. Carr will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Chancey W. Whitley Jr. was born in Ludowici, Georgia, on November 26, 1938, to the late Chancey Whitley, Sr. He attended school in Ludowici, Georgia. He was married to Lillie Jane Austin Whitley for 43 years; they were married on May 12, 1969. To this union, six children were born. He was also a great farmer who provided for his family until his health began to fail. Mr. Whitley passed away on October 1, 2019.

Mr. Whitley leaves to cherish his memories one daughter and five sons, Flora Jean Whitley of Eastman, Sammie L. Whitley and his wife, Michael L. Whitley, Robert L. Whitley, Albert Whitley and James C. Whitley, all of Dublin, four sisters-in-law, Josephine (Samuel) Vick of Jacksonville, Florida, Precious Richardson of Cocoa, Florida, Carlin (Robert) Taylor of Milan, Carrie (J.B.) of Chauncey, two brothers-in-law, Randy (Cathy) Austin, of McRae, Douglas Austin of Chauncey, four grandchildren, six aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family is receiving friends at 532 Garner Dominy Road, Dublin, and at the Pine Hill Christian Church on Saturday, October 5, 2019, 10-11 AM.
