Funeral Services for Mrs. Carolyn Dunham, 84, of Bayonne, New Jersey, will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel of the Dudley Funeral Home, Dublin. Reverend Darrell A. Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery, Dublin.

Mrs. Carolyn Gordon Dunham was born March 2, 1930 in Dublin, Georgia to the late Reverend Henry and Mrs. Carrie Bell Allen Gordon. She departed this life on Monday, October 6, 2014, after an extended illness.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, the late David D. Dunham; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Gordon Bush and Mrs. Geraldine Elizabeth Gordon Hester, and three brothers, Bill Jones, Frank Gordon and Alfred Lee Gordon. Also, she had several grandchildren to precede her in death. She was educated in the Public School System in Dublin, Georgia. She worked for the Mayor Council for Meals on Wheels that help provided for the Senior Citizens in the Bayonne, New Jersey area. She was the President of the 2nd Avenue High Rise Tenant Council. During her term she provided day trip excursion and holiday gatherings for the seniors and their families. She cared for and made so many of her neighbors laugh and lift their spirits where she lived in the Senior High Rise.

Mrs. Dunham is survived by four children, Tommy Gordon of Fayetteville, NC, Edwin Dunham (Sonya) of Jonesboro, GA, Gregory Dunham (Lorraine) of Winston Salem, NC, Rita Dunham of Bayonne, NJ; one brother, James Gordon of Atlanta, GA. Also, survived by her grandchildren, Tammy Gordon, Tanya Gordon, Anthony Mitchell, Lori Ann Mitchell, Tim Mitchell, Jewl Johnson, David Dunham, Edwin Washington (Pamela), NeAndra Saddler (Christopher), Maya Dunham, Rakiba Dunham, Zyvoni Cooper and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and other relatives and friends.
