Bubber Davis

Funeral services for Mr. Bubber Davis, of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, July 19, at 11 AM in the C. D. Dudley Memorial Chapel at the Dudley Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. Reverend David Hall will officiate.

Mr. Davis, who passed on July 12, 2014, was born January 15, 1954, to the late Bubber Davis and Christine Thomas Davis in Wrightsville. He attended Johnson County School and was employed by Builders Concrete until becoming ill.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Horton, Sharon Jordan;and three brothers, Robert Thomas, Willie Thomas and Bobby Hall.

Mr. Davis is survived by a devoted wife, Doretha Davis; children, Sharon Linder (Kevin Nottingham), Annette (Terry) Coley, Barry (Sharida) Arline, Bobby Davis, Dublin, Trish Linder (Tyrone Johnson), East Dublin, Matilda (Mickey) Wright, Alicia Davis, Wrightsville, Dalveyon Rogers, Sandersville; siblings, Mae Frances Jackson, Orlando, Florida, Betty (William) Scott, Dublin, Pauline Hudson, Robert Hall, Reverend David (Dora) Hall, Billy (Shirley) Hall, Jerry Hall, Charles Hall, William (Rosa) Hall, Arlene Hall, Henry Hall, Abigail Hall, Wrightsville, Roger Hall, Jr., New Jersey; two brothers-in-law, Melvin Montford, Wrightsville, John (Carol) Montford, Cochran; sister-in-law, Verna Dean Martin, Jacksonville, Florida, twenty-four grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at the home of Mr. Davis's sister, Betty (William) Scott at 517 Rutland Drive in Dublin and at the Dudley Funeral Home on Friday, 6-7 PM.
