Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Celestine Jackson, of Wrightsville, will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at the Saint Anne Catholic Church, 2000 Kay Circle in Columbus, Georgia. Father Martin Eke will be the celebrant.

Mrs. Jackson, who passed away on July 17, 2016, was born on October 1, 1945, in Jacksonville, Florida, as the second daughter, and middle child, of John and Juanita Jackson. She earned her bachelors degree in biology from Bennett College in 1967. She met her husband, whom she married in 1969, while attending Meharry Medical College in Nashville. She and her husband were wonderful parents to their children. Despite her illness, she remained active in the church, in the schools, and in the community as long as her health would allow.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband of 47 years, Charles E. Jackson, Jr., her three children, Charles Jackson III, Brian Jackson, and Christopher Jackson, and two grandchildren, Christian and Denzel Jackson.
