Arthur Edmond

Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Robert Edmond of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11 AM at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 1601 South Poplar Springs Church in Dublin. Reverend James Eric Griffin will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pearson Cemetery.

Mr. Edmond, who passed on May 2, 2015, was born on August 17, 1948, to the late Mr. Arthur ‘C-Bud’ and Marie Edmond. He attended school in Laurens County. He moved to Miami, Florida, in 1967, and was employed as a truck driver with Oscar Mayer and at other companies.

He was a member at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Rentz, and attended Brownsville Baptist Church while in Miami, Florida.

He married Mary Ann Ross in 1969; they had two children, Pamela Edmond and Eric Jason Edmond. In 2012, he relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where his son, Eric Jason, and daughter-in-law, Michiko, devoted their love and dedication to his loving care.

He was preceded in death by four brothers: Pete, Larry, Rudolph and Lenell Edmond.

Mr. Edmond is survived by the mother of his children: Mary Ann Simmons of Wrens; a son, Eric Jason (Michiko) Edmond of Las Vegas, Nevada; a daughter, Pamela Edmond-Griffin (Reverend James Eric Griffin) of Montgomery, Alabama; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty (Reverend J.C. Murray) and Brenda (Tony) Hester, both of Dublin; two brothers, Nell (Betty Jo) Issac of Lakeland, Florida, and Russell (Patricia) Edmond of Dublin; sisters-in-law, Bernice Edmond and Cynthia Edmond of Miami, Florida; two aunts, Alberta Anderson of Miami, Florida, and Jestine O’Neal of Dublin, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, who he dearly loved, and other close relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at 626 Pine Cone Road in Dublin.
