Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Lois Blocker-Linder of Dublin will be held on Monday, November 19 at 11:00 AM at the First African Baptist Church at 405 Telfair Street in Dublin. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery in Dublin. Reverend James Harris, Jr., will officiate. Mrs. Lois Blocker-Linder who was lovingly known as Lucy by her siblings, as Lovey by her children, and as Gana by her grandchildren, was born on December 28, 1941, to the late Deacon Felix Blocker and Mary Blocker. She was a proud Trojan of Oconee High School in Dublin. She departed this life on November 12, 2012. She was a dedicated member of the Second Baptist Church of Dublin and faithfully worked for Community Mental Health for many years until her health declined. She was a member of many civic and social organizations in the Dublin-Laurens County area including the Voices of Joy Choir and Eastern Star Fidelity Chapter #45. After fourteen years of fighting, the courageous soldier went on to higher grounds to get her reward on Monday, November 12, 2012. Mrs. Blocker-Linder loved all of her family unconditionally and her legacy will live on in each life that she touched. She loved church, singing and cooking for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Felix & Mary Blocker; the love of her life - her 'all and all' and truly devoted husband, Louis Linder; a son in law, Shelton Nichols; two sisters: Ella Pearl Blocker-Flagg & Mildred Blocker-Bell; and three brothers: Phelix Blocker, Bobby Blocker & Allen Earl Blocker. She leaves lasting and loving memories to her daughters, Monica LaTarsha Nichols of Dublin, Katrina (Ronnie) Hall of Savannah, Sharon (Taldon) Williams of Dublin; devoted godsons, Edwin (Tameco) May of Dublin, and Kendrick Thomas, Dublin; a son, Calvin (Sandra) Jackson of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren: Kristal Waters, Shannon Nichols, Jare'l Williams, & J'Nai Williams all of Dublin; Ja'Ron & J'Kira Hall of Savannah, Ashley & Christina Jackson of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Marie Holder & Dorothy (Robert) Taylor of Dublin; brothers, Donald (Delores) Blocker, Miami, FL, Harold (Gladys) Blocker of Nashville, TN, Stephen Blocker of Nashville, TN, Cecil (Thelma) Blocker of Newark, NJ; godbrother, Earl (Dornetta) May; brothers-in-law, Charles Holder, Dublin, Willie Bell of Newark, NJ, and Elderidge Linder of Warner Robins; sisters-in-law, Darleen Blocker of Nashville, TN, Gladys Linder-Rounds, Detroit, MI, Annette (George) Linder-Wilson, Detroit, MI and Louise Linder-Wynn of Dublin; a loving aunt, Bessie Doyle of Swainsboro, a friend forever, Judi Davis of Dublin, and a host of other close family and friends.
