Albert Brown

Funeral services for Mr. Albert Brown, Sr., of Dublin, will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at 12 PM at the First African Baptist Church, 405 Telfair Street in Dublin. Reverend Anthony Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Brown was born as the third child of Mr. Jonas Brown and Mrs. Alice Brown, on December 29, 1938. He was preceded in death by one stepson, Johnny Martin, and by two brothers, Eugene and Nathaniel Brown. He departed this life on December 19, 2015, after a brief illness.

Mr. Brown leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Dorothy Brown; one son, Albert (Tammie) Brown; two stepchildren, Lawana Martin and Toney (Wendy) Lattimore; two grandchildren, Chandler Brown & Aja Brown; three step grandchildren, Shanice (Katrell) Iler of North Carolina, Raeven Martin, and Antonee Lattimore; five sisters, Mary Francis Brown, Katie Johnson, Betty Sumblin, Winnie Wells, and Lizzie (J. T.) Bradley of New York; three sisters-in-law, Judy Pooler, Betty Willis Pearson of Atlanta, and Christine Brown of New York; one aunt, Katie Mae Johnson of New York, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends at 502 Saxon Street in Dublin.
